Our Outcomes: What Durable Economic Mobility Looks Like
The Loop Lab tracks participant outcomes at program completion, at one year, and at five years.
Here is what we have found.
90%
of Loop Lab participants complete their programs.
The national completion rate for workforce programs serving opportunity youth ranges from 50–70%. Our 20-point advantage is not an accident. It is the direct result of wraparound supports built into every program: paid participation, career coaching, portfolio development, mentorship, and real-world production experience that makes training feel like work — because it is. Participants are not in a classroom waiting for relevance. They are on productions, in AV installations, and in employer placements from the first weeks of training.
85%
of Loop Lab graduates achieve a positive outcome within one year of program completion.
We define positive outcomes as: employment in a related field, enrollment in higher education, or active pursuit of entrepreneurship. We do not count placement alone — we require evidence of sustained engagement. This outcome rate reflects both the quality of our training and the strength of our employer network. Graduates arrive at interviews with portfolios, credentials, and production experience. They are not entry-level candidates — they are trained technologists.
79%
of Loop Lab alumni remain employed or otherwise economically active five years after completing our programs.
This is the metric we are most proud of — and the hardest to achieve. Few workforce programs serving opportunity youth track outcomes beyond 90 days or one year. We track at five years because we believe the right measure of workforce development is not job placement — it is whether someone's economic trajectory has permanently changed. Among workforce programs nationally, sustained five-year economic activity at 79% is an outcome that very few programs — at any budget level — can demonstrate.
Methodology Note
Outcomes are tracked through annual alumni surveys, LinkedIn and professional network monitoring, and direct employer follow-up. Data is maintained in a longitudinal alumni database and reviewed annually by program leadership.
